Double--side Vertical Coil Tongs

Application

Lifting of cold-rolled vertical coils, mainly used in the loading and unloading of cold-rolled vertical coils in the bell-type annealing furnace.

 Features

  1. During the lifting of vertical coils, the two pairs of internal and external legs of the clamp move separately and clamp the two walls along the diameter during operation.

  2. After being lifted, the bottom of the vertical coils is absolutely horizontal.

  3. During operation, there is no relative movement between the clamp and steel coils, which ensures  that no damage is caused to the steel coils.

  4. The clamping force of the clamp jaws on the steel coils is half that of a single-arm clamp. The contact stress is therefore smaller and produces little damage to the steel coils.
